Key takeaways

  • Editly is a self-serve order editor for Shopify.
  • Reviso covers address, items, variants and shipping method, and closes edits when the order is fulfilled.
  • Cancellation saves, suggestions, returns, exchanges and store credit are in the same app, free.

Editly is a self-serve editor. The customer fixes the order so you do not have to. Reviso starts from that same inbox problem and keeps going through the cancel request and the return.

Support teams adopt editors to delete a ticket type. They abandon them when the editor cannot do the change customers actually request, or when it still allows a change the warehouse can no longer honour. The useful editor does the common edits, stops at fulfilment, and has an answer for cancel.

"Can you change the address" is the expensive cheap ticket

The customer is motivated. The agent is copying fields. An editor on the order, inside customer accounts, removes the copy-paste. The screen should look like Shopify. A branded detour that asks for the order number again sends people back to email, which is the ticket you were trying to delete.

The ticket types next to the address are "cancel this" and "I want the other variant." Reviso covers address, line items, quantities, variants and shipping method. The controls disappear after fulfilment, so a printed pick list is not rewritten by a customer at 11pm.

A cancel attempt can be met with a discount or a gift. The customer who accepts 10% off never becomes a refund ticket. On the same screen, suggestions and recently viewed products give a warm buyer something to add. Recently viewed is what they already considered. The suggestion is the second idea. Neither should bury the address field.

Rules by country, tag and order keep the risky orders with your team. Returns, exchanges and store credit cover the relationship after delivery. Store credit is how a return can become the next order. Reviso is free to install.

Move one ticket type first

Choose Reviso when the ticket you want to delete is the edit, the cancel and the simple return. Self-serve order edits vs tickets is the rollout. Start with the address. Open quantities once the warehouse agrees on the cutoff.
